WHAT IS Wellbeing?
Here in the United Kingdom, The Health and Safety Executive (commonly referred to as the HSE) defines Wellbeing as:
‘more than just feeling happy; it's about an individual's overall satisfaction and ability to thrive, encompassing physical, mental, and social health’.
This definition brings home the scale of Wellbeing which modern society can project in so many ways, it can easily become confusing and complex for those seeking it with emotion.
Here’s the challenge we all face, we are all different and this means that we all have our own bespoke needs to reach our Wellbeing ‘sweet spot’ and try to stay there for as long as possible.
When seeking Wellbeing, the risk is that we look at certain things to boost our mood which can make matters a lot worse, I’m talking about impulse spending, bad habits, poor decisions, the list goes on and on and they all have one thing in common, the high we feel is very short.
Loving my regular walks in nature to reset my mood.
Life can feel tough, sometimes very tough for a variety of different reasons.
It’s commonly said that pressure is a good thing (in moderation), some call it motivation and drive to get something done no matter the circumstances, what matters to you, matters to you because you are unique.
Our Wellbeing is precious and we must try to maintain a level of balance no matter what we are going through.
We are human beings, we are individuals and please never forget - it is perfectly normal to feel what you feel, our mood is regularly moving on a scale and the lows can be as effective as the highs with the right mindset.
Let me give you an example from my personal experience, when my mood hits low, my motivation to do something about it kicks in.
The amazing Tony Robbins taught me that life happens for us not to us and this is so true, my lifes challenges have brought me here to create Gold Wellbeing, that has to be a positive in my life.
Have a think how the hard times have served you, I promise there will be something.
